Peppol is no longer a side channel. From September 2026, electronic invoicing becomes mandatory for a growing share of B2B flows in France, and several other European countries already require structured invoices today. SMEs that still export a PDF, upload it to a government portal, then re-key the same document into their ERP will not keep up.
